As the country prepares to invade Bloemfontein for an action packed, activity filled, musical experience, watching the most anticipated and entertained soccer game, Sparta Macufe Cup to beckon the month of October.
That’s right! Sparta Macufe Cup 2016, said to be the highlight of the Mangaung African Cultural Festival (Macufe) for all the soccer fanatics from across the country. If you’re a fan, then you will know just how important this game is, and how much passion and love is shown by all supporters.
Kaizer Chiefs will be bringing their “A –Game” this year! They are determined as ever, to make sure that 2016 is the year in which they take the Macufe cup and claim victory “Reclaiming the glory”. Whilst the 2012-2015 reigning champs, Bloemfontein Celtic will play to ensure that the cup remains in the city of roses, once again “Macufe Cup Ya Rona”. Both teams will be going head to head, in the battle of who will walk away with the beautiful Macufe cup and title of Sparta Macufe cup 2016 winners, but also giving their fans a game worth watching. Indeed a sought-after match not to be missed.
Once the clock strikes 15:00, and the whistle blows, fans can expect nothing but an action packed game, outstanding performance from the players, showing off their skill, doing everything to avoid the opposing team from maintaining ball possession. This makes for an exciting and extremely entertained crowd as anything could be expected. From fans sitting at the edge of their seats, anticipating the next goal, to the referee trying to keep up with the players pace and making sure he doesn’t miss any possible penalties, hand-balls or off-sides amongst the many other things which could possibly go wrong on the soccer pitch. The crowd definitely is the voice in it all, and they certainly do not hold back when expressing their views, even though there are commentator’s to do all of that. Sparta Macufe Cup, will take place at the Free-State stadium, Sunday 9th of October 2016, kick-off time is at 15:00.
